Justin`s choice

It’s the beginning of March 2010 and the rugby season is starting. Justin, as always, has been exercising religiously throughout summer since his motorbike accident 3years ago that almost threatened to end his rugby career, not to mention his life.
He is a talented fly half, much bigger than your average fly half. He has the kicking boot of Naas Botha and the ability to attack like Carlos Spencer. At the tender age of 19, he is considered as one of the stars of the future. Looking at him now, one would never have thought how badly injured he was in that almost fatal motorbike accident a month after his 16th birthday.

29th June 2007

"Son, please come and join your mom and I in the garage. We have something to show you!" Peter have been waiting the whole year to give his old bike to his son. He is a bit disappointed though that he couldn't give it to Justin 2days ago when it was his birthday, but it took longer to fix up the old machine than what was anticipated.
"Okay dad, I'll be there in a few..." what can be so important that they have to interrupt me just as the halftime whistle went? Justin wondered to himself.
The Springboks is playing in yet another epic battle against the All blacks, as was expected, this game is as tough as nails and can swing either way. seems like the second half will all depend on the bounce of the ball and which team makes the least mistakes. Justin is silently confident that the Springboks will win purely based on their defensive record in the past few years since 2004 under bok coach Jake White.
The boks better bloody win, I've got all my pocket money riding on this game, he thought to himself as he stood up to see what his parents wants to show him.
"Dad, please be quick. I want to hear what Naas has to say about the first half." He shouted even before he entered the garage.
"So dad, what ya wanna show me?" Justin caught sight of his fathers' bike and immediately noticed that there was something different about it. "Dad, what happened to your bike?" he asked without giving his dad a chance to answer his first question. "It looks, I don't know, different... new. Did you get it fixed?" He asked, without suspecting anything.
Peter stood looking at his son, chest all puffed up and with a big childlike grin on his face. "Well son, it took a lot of convincing your mother, but eventually she relented. So I decided to pass on my 'baby' to you as a belated birthday gift. I wanted to give it to you when it was your birthday, but the panel beaters took longer than expected to fix it."
"What? Really, dad? Wow this is awesome. I've always wanted a bike like yours, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect that I will actually get your bike. Thank you very much dad. This is by far the best gift I could ever have asked for. And mom thanks you for allowing dad to give his bike to me. I know that must have been a difficult decision for you to make."
His mother, Mary-Anne, Could only smile, too scared that if she had to say something she might start crying from seeing her son almost grown up and from fear of him being in a motorbike accident. As it is, she’s already tempted to forbid him from riding that bike.
Justin totally forgot about the rugby until it was too late, but he could care less at this point in time. After all, Super Sport will show the full game again during the week. His thoughts were on this bike, HIS bike, and on how faithful God is. Since he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior last summer at Camp Worship, he started developing an unshakable faith in God and firmly held on to the Scripture, "Ask and you shall receive", (moet vers kry.)
Now that he thinks about it, he must admit that he never really thought that God will give him a bike for his birthday, although he prayed for it. And ohhh was he persistent in his prayers. (Find scripture that talks about God wants us to be persistent in our prayers).

"Thank You God for my bike. You knew how I've always wanted the exact same bike than this one, but never in my entire life would I have thought that You would bless me with my dad's bike. I am not worthy of You kindness and I realize that You didn't have to give me this bike, but that You wanted to. I realize, Father, that You want to make us happy, although we don't deserve it. Daddy, I'm more grateful for all the blessing I've received from You than the Bike itself. Thank You Daddy, amen."

As Justin finished his prayer he immediately phoned his friends to tell them the good news.

Chapter 1: events leading up to accident

A month has passed since his dad gave the bike to him. So he thought it's about time to take the bike out for a proper spin. he has gone to school and to the shop with his bike, but never really had time to just drive for long distances, so he decided that Michael, Ruan, Dillon and him must go on their own little breakfast run on Sunday morning after church. He phoned them to find out if they want to and all agreed. For the next two days there was a buzz of excitement and all they could talk about is how awesome it's going to be. All four of them grew up together. They went to the same primary school and now are in grade 10 in the same high school. They even play rugby together for the 1st team. It is the first time ever that their 1st team consists out of 4 grade 10's, which says a lot about how good all four of them are.
That Sunday morning in Church Justin felt very nervous about the breakfast run, so much so that he actually felt uncomfortable, but he just shook it off by saying to himself it's only because it's his first time. All four of them met up after church to go to Michael’s house for a quick cup of coffee before they leave and to discuss on what route they are going on. They immediately informed their parent where they are going. They decided on taking a ride along the coast from summerset beach all the way to sea view.

"Hey guys! Before we go, I just want to say that I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of guys to share my first breakfast run with. So let's ride hard!!!” Justin shouted over the noise of the bike's engines.

Michael, being an Argentinean, spun away first in a typical Latino fashion. The aroma of tires filling their nostrils. Their adrenalin was tangible and being teenagers, they fed off each others' bravado.
Everything started off smoothly. They stopped at the petrol station in summer strand beach to fill up their tanks and each bought a coke.
"Hey guys!" ruan shouted. "Isn't that Cornelia from school? I haven't seen her since she went to a new school."
"Yeah thats her. She's full of herself."
"I'm going to go speak to her" Ruan said.
"Dude, why would you want to go and speak to her? She's out of your league. If you don't have money, you won't have her." Michael replied
"Yip and you can't rely on looks either." Justin chirped.

Ruan took a deep breath and gathered all the courage he can. he approached her... slowly... getting more confident as he closes in on her...
"Hey Cornelia, how you doing'? Ruan asked as he got to her.
Cornelia stood there with a confused look on her face not recognizing Ruan at first.
"Uhm... ohk... I guess... and, uhm and you? Cornelia replied.
""Yeah you know, im great. You don't remember me, do you? From Brandwag High?
"O yes now I remember. We use to wait at the same bus stop after school." she said as her memory came back.
"yeah that's me. So what school are you going to now?" Ruan asked
I'm at Strelitzia High now. Not the same as Brandwag, but it's okay I suppose." She said
Ok, well the guys and I are going on a breakfast run for our first time. Justin is the one that organised it." Ruan said, looking all chuffed with himself.
"ah that sounds like fun. where you going?" Cornelia asked, suddenly looking intrigued.
"we doing the whole coastline. From here all the way to beachview. we going to stop at every restaurant to either eat or drink something, or just to chill. then afterwards we going to have a braai at Michael's house." ruan replied, obviously seeing a golden opportunity soon to arise.
"That really sounds like fun. me and a few of my girl friends are going to have a picnic at the Island nature reserve at 4pm. why don't you guys join us?" she asked now with a twinkle in her eyes.

Ruan is now really taken aback. Never in his life did he imagine a hot girl like Cornelia will show any interest in him. he is determined not to mess this up.
"Yeah sure. it sounds like great fun. But we don't have stuff for a picnic though. but I suppose we can make a plan. Anycase. I need to run. my boys are all waiting for me. give me your number and I will phone you about 3pm to confirm if we will be coming." Ruan said.
"Sure thing. Give me your hand." Cornelia said.
She took his hand and wrote her number down, while ruan is staring in disbelieve of his luck. Not only is he with his best friends on his first ever breakfast run, but now he got the number of the most beautiful girl he has ever laid eyes on - even better - later on he is going to have picnic with HER.

The breakfast run was going smoothly. by the time they got to sea view, ruan suddenly remembered about the picnic and... Cornelia....
"Hey guys, I forgot to tell you that Cornelia invited us to go have a picnic with her and her friends at the Island at 4pm. I promised her we would go. We don't need to be there for long ". telling a white lie hasn't harm anyone before, he thought to himself. "Let's just pop in, stay for an half hour and leave again. our parents won't even know."
"I don't know, Ruan. This sounds a bit sketchy to me." Justin immediately objected.
"Ag come on justin. Don't be a loser your whole life." Dillon chirped
"You know what man. I love you man. You're my brother and all that, but sometimes you really suck the fun out of everything. We've all been having a good time so far today. I think it will be fitting to end this day off with girls at a picnic whom we don't even know. Who knows, if we don't go you might be robbing Ruan at a chance to hook up with 'whatcha ma call her'. Besides, I think it's time for you to meet someone as well. You've been single for how long now? Nevermind. I don't wana know." Michael drilled him.
Eventually Justin reluctantly agreed to go, ignoring that still small voice telling him that they shouldn't go.

writer's note:
...(Oops!!!) Dear readers. we as Christians need to start listening to that still small voice. When that voice sounds like a warning we must immediately know that it is Holy Spirit warning us. I understand that most Christians don't hear that voice (some choose not to hear it). It comes with practice. With prayer. With reading the Bible, going to Church. Surrounding yourself with fellow believers, etc.
In Justin's case, he ignored the warning plees of Holy Spirit. He ignored it the first time in Church that morning before they took off on the breakfast run. He ignored it the second time when ruan, dillon and michael convinced him to go to the picnic. God doesn't just warn once. He will continue to warn us until it is too late. We need to understand that if we don't listen to the warnings, there will be consequences to follow.
I encourage you to start working on hearing the still small voice of Holy Spirit and obey it. It will get you out of trouble. It will ensure your safety and so much more. Jesus said: "My sheep knows my voice." (find scripture)...

Ruan phoned Cornelia with excitement in his voice, informing her that they are on their way.
when they arrived there, Justin noticed that there is a huge bonfire and alot of cars. he once again felt very uncomfortable, but did not want to say anything because he knew it's just going to fall on deaf ears.

"Hey Ruan! wow, I didn't think you are going to come." Cornelia said as she approached him. "Come, let me introduce you guys to everyone. Everyone this is Ruan and his friends. I ran into him at the petrol station this morning. They were on a breakfast run. I asked them to join us. Hope you guys don't mind."

Everyone seemed pleasant enough so Justin started to feel more calm, so he decided to just let his parents know whats happening and that they won't be braaiing at home anymore. To his suprise she was fine with it as long as she knew that they are still okey.

Jovanka sat close enough to hear Justin's conversation with his mother over the phone. Just as he hung up she came to sit next to him.

"Hi, I'm Jovanka." she introduced herself.
"Uhm, hey I'm Justin." he replied, stunned by her sudden presence.
"I over heard your conversation with your mother over the phone. that was really sweet of you." she said.
laughing he replied: "Ag i just needed to let her know that we are still fine and that we had a change of plans."
"Oh really? and what's the change?" she asked him.
"we would've braaied at home after our breakfast run, well it was more of a brunch run if you ask me, but we came here instead. Ruan, Dillon and Michael kinda talked me into it." He replied
"And? are you glad you came?" she asked
"Yeah it's not to bad so far." Justin said, "I just don't know anyone here except offcourse for ruan, dillon and michael and they are all busy chatting up girls. but, you know, it seems like a good bunch of people."
"Well that's fine, that means I can keep you company tonight." she said with a smile while dragging him by the arm towards a picnic table.

As they sat down she leaned over, opened a cooler box and got two drinks out for them.
Justin stopped her as she gave him the drink. "thanks, but i don't really drink, plus we still need to drive home later so I don't think I should."
"Ag come on, it's just a cider. It won't make you drunk if you don't drink it fast. just relax. have a few drinks and when you feel that you had enough then you can stop and I promise then I won't force you to have more." she assured him

for the umpteenth time today this feeling came over him that made is stomach turned to knots. and again he heard a soft whisper warning him not to, but again he didn't listen and agreed to have a few drinks.

That night Justin mostly chatted to Jovanka. He told her about his rugby career. that his chances of playing provincial is very good and that a few provinces has allready approached him. he also told her about his bike. How he has prayed and asked God for a bike.
She told him about how she met Cornelia through work and that she only recently, two months ago to be exact, moved to Port-Elizabeth from Johannesburg to be closer to her mother and sister. Her father died when she was still small, but old enough to remember him. her sister, on the other hand, was just six months old when it happened. her mother and sister moved down to PE about 3years ago, but she wanted to stay behind and finish school in Johannesburg, but she started to miss her mom and sis so decided to rather move to PE as well.
throughout the rest of the eveining they made small chats with each other and every now and then joined a group standing close by.Eventually he couldn't fight the urge to ask for her number anymore. as it turned out, she was planning to give him her number all along.

the night has gone by quickly and allthough neither one of the guys wanted to leave they knew they had to. they all had a few to drink, but felt fine enough to drive. not knowing what lays ahead...

On their way home they are more brave than what they were during their breakfast run. Speeding, they zip past the few cars that is on the road; even skipping a fourway stop street once. then the unthinkable happened...

Justin was second behind Michael when he suddenly lost control of his bike. With the bike buckling left and right a few times, Justin makes the mistake of pulling the front brake. suddenly the bike proppeled airborne, sending Justin flying about five meters with the bike on his tail. Just as Justin hits the tar, the bike fell straight on his back, snapping it like a twick. The impact was so devastating, it has send his helmet flying off his head and cracked open his skull.
With Dillon and Ruan looking on as the whole incident played off they felt terribly hopeless. Michael, on the other hand, only realised what has happened when he saw Dillon and Ruan standing next to Justin, franticly trying to keep Justin awake out of fear of him dying as the blood seeps out of his skull. just as Michael turned around and got to the scene, Ruan shouted at him to phone the ambulance while he is trying to reach Justin's parents. Dillon used every piece of material available, including their shirts and jackets, to stop the bleeding from Justin's head. In his desperation Dillon called out to God to intervene and stop the bleeding. God heard his cry and almost instantaniously the blood stopped flowing out of his wound.

justin's father, Peter, is on the receiving end of the phone. When he received the news, he was shocked, but yet had a calmness in his voice.
Earlier that night he allready heard Holy Spirit warning him about his son's safety. He prayed that God will protect Justin from any danger, attacks from satan and/or death. He knew immediately that his son will be fine, doesn't matter what any doctor says. They have God on their side.

............................................................

Chapter 2:
(Justin is angry at God for answering his prayers by giving him the bike, but allows him to be in an accident.)

The ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident with Justin's parents, Peter and Mary-Anne, soon to follow.
On arrival at the hospital, Justin was taken directly for x-rays of his skull, brain and back. He has sustained severe head injuries, but the doctor couldn't determine the extent of his head injury until he can take more tests which will take some time, but he did say that there is swelling on the brain and that they don't know the extent of the damage yet. In the meantime the doctor decided to take Justin to the ER for an emergency operation on his back.
While the doctors are busy operating, God is busy performing an "operation" of His own. Without the doctors noticing the bleeding on his head seized and the swelling on his brain went down. When the doctors did a brain scan on Justin after his back operation, they were shocked to find nothing wrong. They told his parents that there is no scientific or medical explanation for what had happened and called it a medical miracle, but Peter and Mary-Anne knew it's a supernatural healing from God.

A few hours later Justin woke up disorientated, not knowing what had happened or where he is. All he knew is that he was in a lot of pain but couldn’t remember why, until Ruan, Michael and Dillon walked into the room. The memories came flooding back putting him in a state of disarray and panic. Michael immediately called the nurse, who in turn called the doctor.

Doc: “Hi Justin, I’m doctor De Villiers. How are you feeling?”
Justin: “I’m in a lot of pain sir. Please tell me how serious is it?”
Doc: “You don’t beat around the bush hey? There’s nothing to be worried about son. The accident was pretty bad, but we were able to fix you up well. You will be fine. It is going to take hard work and pain and a lot of therapy, but you should be on your feet again in no time.”
Justin: “I’m glad to hear that, but will I still be able to play rugby?”
Doc: “Justin, to be honest, I cannot see you ever playing rugby again. The extent of your injuries is just too severe, but in saying that, you shouldn’t even be alive right now. This is a miracle. So I guess I’m saying if you want it bad enough there might be a very slight outside chance that you can play again. But don’t get your hopes up. Don’t focus on that now. Focus on getting better first.”

After hearing what the doctor had to say, Justin felt like he had died. Laying there in his own thoughts he slowly withdrew into himself, not wanting to speak to anyone. That night, lying in the hospital bed, he didn’t respond to his parents, friends or nurses being there talking to him. He just sat there, staring into the distance.
After two days of not speaking, eating or sleeping the doctor called for a psychiatrist in the hopes of getting Justin to respond, but after that also failed they knew he is suffering from depression.

For the past two days Justin argued and pleaded with God in silence. He refused to speak, eat or sleep until he heard from God. He accused God of being mean, spiteful and of having a sick sense of humor. He couldn’t understand why God will give him a bike, but then allow him to be in an accident that almost killed him and ended his rugby career.

CHAPTER 3

After two days of no sleep or eating Justin grew extremely tired and couldn’t resist the urge of falling asleep any longer. After falling into a deep sleep, Justin started to dream…

Justin finds himself in the middle of a dessert. For miles, all he can see is sand. Wondering where he is or what he’s doing here, he starts shouting for help. Confused and scared he fell to his knees. With his head in his hands, he started crying thinking he died and ended up here. Groans of misery flooded out of him wave after wave. Then suddenly he heard a voice calling out his name. “Justin, Justin!” Not recognizing the voice, he jumped to his feet. With fear in his eyes he spun around a few times trying to figure out where this voice is coming from. “Who are you? What do you want from me?” he screamed.
“Why are you afraid Justin? Don’t you recognize My voice?” Jesus asked.
“I do not. How do you know my name?” Justin asked.
“I knew you while you were inside your mother’s womb. I knitted you together to perfection. I am the One that warned you from danger. I have said, “My sheep will know My voice”. Don’t you recognize my voice, Justin?” Jesus asked again.
In disbelieve Justin replied: “Jesus? No it can’t be! You abandoned me during the accident. You could have prevented it from happening, but You chose not too! I almost died. Since I didn’t die, You decided to destroy my future. Because of You I can’t ever play rugby again."
"Justin, I am the One that tried to warn you, but you decided to ignore me because of your friends. I warned you three times, Justin. I couldn't force you not to go. I just wanted you to be safe. All you needed to do was to ask Me what's wrong and I wouldv'e told you." Jesus said and then vanished.
Satnding there feeling hopeless, Justin shouted upwards, "but You could still have stopped this accident from happening!! You call Yourself Allmighty!! But yet You couldn't prevent this accident from happening? Look at me now! How can You allow Your people to suffer like this?" Justin fell to his knees again, weeping.

After Justin had no more tears to spend, he got up and gathered himself. As he started walking, the scenery started changing from dessert to a rough, thorny, grey place reeking with death. With dead, half rotten bodies everywhere to be seen, Justin felt consumed with nausea. His head spun out of control. Cockroaches, snakes and worms started climbing onto him. Instinctively and in some ways, out of habit, he shouted out to Jesus for help. Within a split second everything froze. Time, as we know it, stood still. Then Jesus appeared dressed in splendor white. Light beaming out of Him. With His sword in His right hand pointing straight towards Justin, He charged and all the snakes, worms and cockroaches fled. Again Jesus just disappeared. Again the creatures came back. This time they came in more numbers, assisted by creatures of darkness. Within seconds Justin was overpowered. Blackness surrounded him from everywhere. He felt helpless and shouted out to Jesus once more. Again Jesus came, but this time He did not help Justin. He just stood there with sadness in His eyes. (jesus wil he justin moet self die demone weg jaag en wil sien hoe hy dit gaan doen. gaan hy dit in sy eie krag doen of in die naam van Jesus?)
The creatures of darkness started tearing away at Justin’s flesh. He couldn’t bear the pain and started fighting back in his own strength, but was easily overpowered. He laid there, helpless as they feast on his body.

As he started slipping into nothingness everything stopped as quickly as it started. Bewildered Justin awoke, relieved to find that his body is still attached. As quickly as he woke up, he fell asleep once again.
This time Justin found himself in a wonderful place. It looked to him like he was walking on clouds. Then suddenly he felt something grab hold of him, but yet he was not afraid. As he looked up he saw this huge creature with the face of a man, but with wings that can easily cover the whole of Port Elizabeth.
“This must be an angel”, he thought to himself.
The angel looked down at Justin with a smile that made his heart leap with joy.

The angel took him straight to Jesus. The glory shun out of Him like rays of sunlight. Justin stood in awe of His beauty.

“Justin, I brought you here because I have something important to tell you. Do you remember the dessert? The rough, thorny, grey place? The reek of decaying bodies? The snakes, worms and cockroaches?” Jesus asked him with intensity in His voice. The place that You have send me too, Justin thought to himself but answered, “Yes I remember.”

“Justin, that place isn’t hell. That place is you! That is your spiritual condition since the accident. You might not be dead physically, but you are dead emotionally and spiritually. Those bodies you saw is not you, but others just like you. I wanted you to see what is happening and could happen. You blame Me for your accident and therefore you have lost faith. Until you stop blaming Me and start taking responsibility for your actions, which in this case is the accident, your condition will not change, both physically, emotionally and spiritually. You have a decision to make My son.”

Just like that, Jesus was gone again and Justin was back in his hospital bed. He woke up with a shock. For the rest of the day he was quiet, deep in his own thoughts, wondering how he can get out of this. Wondering what choices he has to make.

The next morning Michael came to visit him. He sat on the chair next to Justin’s bed while he was still asleep. During the night Justin did not get a lot of sleep. Although he was tired, he still could not get his mind to shut down. The words of Jesus kept on ringing in his ears. “That’s you Justin! Start taking responsibility! You have a decision to make…”
When Justin finally woke up it was his turn to find Michael asleep on the chair. He took his extra pillow and threw it at Michael. Suddenly Michael jumped up to find Justin laughing at him. But he wasn’t here to have fun and chat. He had a serious matter to speak to Justin about. Something that bothered him the whole of last night. Justin saw that something is bothering Michael and has always hated to see his dear friend in turmoil. “Michael? Why so serious? What’s on your mind?” Justin wanted to know. Michael knew that Justin has always been sincere in his worried questions when he was upset.
“Last night I kept on thinking of when you said that you feel worried and uncomfortable during the breakfast run. The more I thought about it, the more I realize that maybe God tried to warn you that something bad is going to happen. When I came to that conclusion, I kept on feeling that God wants me to tell you that.”

. . .

Suddenly Justin realized what Jesus meant by taking responsibility for his own actions. God was never to blame for this accident. He was! He was foolish not to have listened to the warnings

chapter 3:Justin receives dreams of two possible outcomes after accident. (the kind of dreams Joseph had to interpret to the Pharaoh, somewhere between genesis 35 and 44, but in this case it will depend on the choices justin makes) Either outcome, good or bad, is a direct result of his decisions. The wrong choice will be made either in this chapter or in chapter 4.

Chapter 4: Justin falls into a state of depression after doctors tells him that his rugby career is over.

chapter 5: Justin has a fresh encounter with God. He repents and rekindles his relationship with God. In this chapter God shows His grace and even give Justin a second chance in rectifying his previous mistakes.

Chapter 6: never give up. on his road to recovery. the frustration of having to deal with the slow and painfull road to recovery. justin learns a few important life lessons: Anything is possible with God by our side. and that failure only happens when you stop trying, same as sin is only sin when you have stopped getting up after stumbling.

Chapter 7: ??????????
Justin starts to think about his future and a possible career in medicine. Somewhere where he can do God’s work and make a difference, just as God made a difference in his life. Show other doctors that there are no medical mysteries, just Godly once. That all miracles come from God and everytime that they pick up the scalpel that they need to pray for God to guide their hands.

Shared by an anonymous Doctor

A couple of days ago I was running (I use that term very loosely) on my
treadmill, watching a DVD sermon by Louie Giglio... And I was BLOWN AWAY!
I want to share what I learned... But I fear not being able to convey it
as well as I want. I will share anyway..

He (Louie) was talking about how inconceivably BIG our God is... How He
spoke the universe into being.... Then He went on to speak of how this
universe creating God ALSO knitted our human bodies together with amazing
detail and wonder. At this point I am LOVING it (fascinating from a
medical standpoint, you know.)... And I was remembering how I was
constantly amazed during medical school as I learned more and more about
God's handiwork. I remember so many times thinking.. 'How can ANYONE deny
that a Creator did all of this???'

Louie went on to talk about how we can trust that the God who created all
this, also has the power to hold it all together when things seem to be
falling apart..how our loving Creator is also our sustainer.

And then I lost my breath. And it wasn't because I was running my
treadmill, either!!! It was because he started talking about laminin. I
knew about laminin. Here is how Wikipedia describes them: 'Laminins are a
family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding
of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue.' You see... Laminins
are what hold us together.. LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules.
They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them,
we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I
didn't know is what they LOOKED LIKE.

But now I do. And I have thought about it a thousand times since
(already).. Here is what the structure of laminin looks like.... (I'm
sorry but I cannot send attachments, it is shaped like a cross) AND THIS
IS NOT a 'Christian portrayal' of it... If you look up laminin in any
scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see.

Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!! Amazing. The glue that
holds us together..... ALL of us.... Is in the shape of the cross.
Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind. "He is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things
were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were
created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in Him all things
HOLD TOGETHER."

Call me crazy. I just think that is very, very, very cool. Thousands of
years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those
words. And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held
together... One cell to another... By the cross. You would never in a
quadrillion years convince me that is anything Other than the mark of a
Creator who knew EXACTLY what laminin 'glue' would look like long before
Adam breathed his first breath!!

HOWW AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL GOD IS!!
